Paying homage to Southern California's most celebrated architects from the past century, the architectural masterpiece combines classic forms with the best of modern finishes. Realized by award-winning LA architectural firm SPACE International, it's the latest reflection of the architect and Ground Up LA design team's intriguing indoor/outdoor modernist approach to design. The sweeping addition and renovation has transformed an existing modern house, now highlighted by an elevated clerestory roof that ushers in light while framing expansive views of the canyon beyond. A floating guest wing and extended wood terrace surround a pool to create a courtyard effect. Luxe natural materials include white oak floors, Machiche wood, dark hematite and soft grey honed basaltina stone.
