If these walls could speak… what stories would the Heinemann House have to tell? Joe Fiscus, a prominent rancher and savvy real estate investor, originally built this handsome home in 1903 at a location next to the Carnegie Library on Anaheim Blvd. Somewhere around 1921 the house was moved, to the “outskirts” of town, at 703 S. Lemon Street. During this time the house was occupied by a nursery owner, a carpenter and was even “Smiths Barber Shop” in the 1950s-1960s. By 1967 “older” homes in the heart of the city had fallen out of favor as people moved to tract homes being built all over town with new neighborhood schools and roads. Luckily, someone had the foresight in 1970 to place this home on a list of Anaheim’s Historical Resources, the house was marked and when a chance came up to move her, once again, the house was moved for a 3rd time to its current location at 624 S. Lemon Street in 2001. This lovely home was restored, from head to toe, new foundation, electrical, plumbing, floors and windows restored, central heat added.
